Tamale and Safety Third
Tamale and Safety Third began in 2015 as a way for Tamale to invite her friends to share her solo spot in the incredible Fire Ball Masquerade. Tamale hosted the amazing event each January for a decade and folds her own unique performance into the line up though a solo spot each year. She began putting together more and more complex acts, incorporating an ever-expanding spectrum of skills and talents, and inviting her friends from all over the country to play. They create the act remotely and practice for months via Google Hangouts, Skype, and Zoom from their home cities, then come together for one stellar night to rock out. Safety Third incorporates drag, fire, grinder performance, and is a rotating cast of characters, bringing their talent to a shared vision. Every year is a different act and each year is spectacular! Now T&S3rd performs at particular events, with a line up of Tamales favorites and fresh choreography for each gig!
