For years, Tamale was a part of burlesque and drag communities in Chicago and beyond. Through these explorations came international touring opportunities, where Tamale served as a producer and performer for the Chicago performance troupe, the Windy City Blenders. Growing out of one of the WCB acts from a European tour, came a full-length performative experiment called The Lola Project. In order to share her headlining spots with her friends, she developed Tamale and Safety Third, showcased at the Austin International Drag Festival. Combining her background with fire and grinder performance, drag and burlesque, TS3rd rocks every stage they meet with an ever-rotating collection of performers.
